About Us

The Alleghany Highlands Trail Alliance is a group of volunteers dedicated to maintaining access to the area’s pathways and trails. These trails are maintained using a volunteer team, students from the surrounding school systems, and ACC work teams.

The AHTA cares for and maintains over 200 miles of trailways for recreational use and is supported by the surrounding community, state & federal grants, and private donations. Please help us keep our forests and trails clean for your use.

The AHTA is also a Chapter of the International Mountain Biking Association as of March 31st, 2022, and is in good standing as a subordinate under IMBA’s 501c3 non-profit Group Exemption number 6236.
